Air Volumetric Calculator.

Air freight is charged on the greater of gross weight and volumetric weight. Estimate chargeable weight before you book — and before the carrier invoice does it for you.

How chargeable weight works

Carriers divide the shipment volume by a dimensional factor — commonly 6000 (cm³/kg) for air — and bill the greater of that figure and actual gross weight. Light, bulky cargo pays for the space it occupies.

Estimate only — dimensional factors vary by carrier and service. Confirm against the applicable carrier tariff before committing to a rate.
