CloudPorts, LLC (d/b/a CloudPorts™) ("CloudPorts," "we," "us") respects the privacy of customers, prospective customers, partners, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available under Applicable Law.

This Policy applies to personal information processed by CloudPorts™ in connection with our website, services, communications, and business operations. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, carriers, brokers, banks, or other providers, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

2 · Information We Collect

  • Identification & contact data: name, business name, email, phone, mailing/billing address, role/title.
  • Commercial data: services requested, quotes, orders, invoices, payment information, credit application data, references.
  • Shipment & compliance data: shipper/consignee/end-user information, commodity descriptions, ECCN, Schedule B/HS, origin, destination, license or authorization status, transport details.
  • Authentication & authorization data: signatures, signer authority documentation, POA reference numbers.
  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps (collected via standard server logs and limited analytics).
  • Communications: messages, attachments, and call records to the extent lawfully recorded with notice.

3 · How We Use Information

  • To provide, perform, support, and improve the services.
  • To prepare quotes, invoices, contracts, POAs, EEI/AES filings, and related documentation.
  • To conduct credit and fraud checks, restricted-party screening, sanctions screening, and export-compliance review.
  • To communicate with customers, prospective customers, vendors, and partners.
  • To comply with Applicable Law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
  • To operate, secure, and maintain our website, systems, and records.

5 · How We Share Information

  • Service providers: licensed freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, NVOCCs, OTIs, IATA-accredited agents, IACs, property brokers, warehouses, banks, insurers, AES/ACE filing service providers, and IT/operations vendors acting under written terms.
  • Government & regulators: CBP, BIS, Census, OFAC, DDTC, and other regulators where required by law, court order, or in support of lawful filings.
  • Professional advisors: attorneys, accountants, and auditors under confidentiality obligations.
  • Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of substantially all assets, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration as defined under applicable privacy law.

6 · Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations (including 15 CFR § 30.10 five-year recordkeeping and 19 USC §§ 1508–1509 / 19 CFR Part 163 customs retention obligations), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage customers to use strong authentication and to limit sharing of sensitive information to required channels.

8 · International Transfers

CloudPorts™ is based in the United States. Personal information processed in connection with our services may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, in accordance with Applicable Law.

9 · Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.
